What does your Shelfie say about you?

To celebrate valentines day and that beautiful thing called LOVE, we have styled our own romantic Shelfie.
The Shelf
Using two pieces of recycled iron sheets I have crafted a love heart shape. This has been done with a MIG welding machine. I have painted the outside hot red and left the inside untouched to create a chic industrial look.
Colour tones
For the colour tones, I have used warm reds, purples, and pinks. Picking contrasting colours such as black, grey and yellow for a backdrop can really make the books on the shelf pop.
The Books
Sourced from the country house library of goodies, I chose a mixture of editions, including, observer, penguins, and ladybirds. Some older and chunkier books work really well against smaller books with the addition of some quirky bookends and unique trinkets.
