Reader's note

This wonderful vintage book can take pride of place within any home gardening library. In this title, renowned horticulturist Walter T. Ingwersen, has recorded with charming informality, his impressions of the most noteworthy British wild flowers and how they can best be cultivated in gardens. This is not a book for the expert botanist but for the lover of flowers, who will be delighted to know what can be done in his garden with the plants which beautify our meadows, woodlands and hills, whilst hardly disturbing them in their natural surroundings. Beautifully illustrated throughout by Russell Leslie, this lovely old book is a fantastic gift to give or receive.
