Reader's note

A 1928 First Edition of Victor Hugo's Notre-Dame De Paris. Possibly better known today as The Hunchback of Notre Dame, this classic written originally in French, follows the characters Quasimodo and Esmeralda. '"It is Quasimodo the bell-ringer! It is Quasimodo the hunchback of Notre-Dame! Quasimodo the one-eyed! Quasimodo the bandy-legged!”' Poor devil had plenty of surnames to choose from! This lovely edition has beautiful illustrations with sixteen full-page coloured plates that make this edition a true gem. It would look fabulous in any home library with its gorgeous gold spine decoration!
