Reader's note

This excellent book is biography of Thubten Jigme Norbu, the eldest brother of the Dalai Lama. Originally published in 1960, author Heinrich Harrer writes in his preface as to why he has chosen to write about him. - I was, and still am, deeply impressed by his life; in particular because it is a very typical reflection of the fate of the Tibetan people in our day, and because I love Tibet. And then, though at my original suggestion, Norbu himself ultimately asked me to write this book for him. In doing so I have carefully refrained from expressing any opionions of my own' - A true homage that has been written with the deepest love and respect. A great addition to any library!
