Reader's note

Add this fascinating old book to your home library this Christmas! This is a first edition printed in 1964 and is fully illustrated with many line drawings by Peter Barrett, and introduced by an essay on the history and meaning of the Feast, these eighteen stories are drawn from all over Europe, Asia and Africa. Some are truly delightful and significant works of fiction, especially suitable for reading to children. Others are true stories of how the faith of Christmas came alive in a concentration camp or in a pagan village. All these stories are lovingly retold by Dr. Wyon and whether happy or sad, all of them show how the faithful at this time come, joyful and triumphant. With a striking red line drawing of an angel on a white background, this is a truly beautiful vintage book.
