Fully illustrated throughout with beautiful line drawings, this wonderful vintage book can take a special place on your shelf with its neutral toned grey cover and spine. Meet our main character Colonel John Weatherford in the first chapter - Those of his more scholarly friends who had no contact with him as a sportsman may resent the publishing of these stories on the ground that they picture him only in the pursuit of pleasure, and as one having no serious purpose in life. My answer is that a comprehensive portrait of the man must wait upon a more erudite pen than mine, for his interests and activities were manifold. - a mysterious gentleman indeed!
