Reader's note

This is the story of a young husband whose wife decides they need a holiday apart. By bad luck they both go to the same place, a famous golf-links where a tournament is in progress. On the way the husband meets an old spark. Circumstances, in the shape of an aunt from America, force him to claim the old spark as his wife. Complications ensure. Suspicion arises. The old spark’s fiancé follows her like a bloodhound. Further complications. Shady work all round. Monkey business by night in the corridors of the hotel. Men clamber in and out of bedroom windows. The aunt from America sniffs around for scandal. Colonel Blundermore comes in search of his ward, who has eloped. The threat of divorce proceedings clouds the young husband’s sky. But all ends well.
