Containing a map of Canada, this book tells the story of some the pioneering explorers that were able to travel the landscape and pave the way for the people that live there today! You can read about brothers John and Sebastian Cabot and their first voyage to Newfoundland to Sir Alexander Mackenzie's epic journey across the entire continent! In May 1793, Alexander Mackenzie writes - It rained in the morning and did not cease until about eight, and as the men had been very fatigued and disheartened, I suffered them to continue their rest till the hour.
