This floral vintage book would look lovely in any home library! Here we have a unique edition of The Etiquette of To-day by Flora Klickmann. Though not really the etiquette of today, having been published almost 100 years ago. This is now a historical account of how women should act in society. 'She will go on for months seeing her friends in a simple informal way, and then one day an invitation card arrives for some social function that is only a very little different, perhaps, from the form of entertainment she is used to; yet forthwith she becomes ever so anxious as to what she should, and should not, do on this particular occasion. She worries over little points to such an extent that she loses half the pleasure of the outing'. Although most likely still an anxiety both sexes share today, hopefully the scrutiny of women’s behaviour and social pressure can be something left in the past.
