Reader's note

This brilliant book provides some excellent recipes for the more talented chefs that are among us. The first chapter introduces the reader to hors d'oeuvres - they should be as attractive as possible, as this course will introduce the meal. This a course which depends greatly on the ingenuity of the cook since almost any food may be introduced. - it then tells of wonderful ideas that you can present at your vintage themed dinner party! Whether it's canapes de caviar, clear tomato soup, timbales of fish a la sultan moving on to even more elaborate dishes such as noisettes de mouton a la Navarrese and pigeon vol-au-vants! This is the perfect gift for the gourmet that you know who really wants to try something different and exciting!
