Reader's note

Bright red and bold and featuring some of James Thurber's hilarious line drawings on the cover, this book is a joy to read with it's warmth, wit and humour! Here in this collection of pieces and drawings about human beings and other less alarming creatures you can find Thurber's new natural history, which includes such remarkable fauna and flora as the Hopeless Quandary, the Tiffin, the Male Wedlock and the living (or spitting) image. Pull up a chair by a fireplace and take yourself somewhere cosy and warm, where you can read this and laugh out loud without worrying about people passing by! It for this and many other reasons that this brilliant vintage book is a great addition to your home library.
