Reader's note

This astounding collection of essays is a great read for anyone who loves history! The table of contents indicates the sheer range of essays that Eric Linklater has collected under the title of The Art of Adventure. The first section of six essays in entitled, 'Some People' and you can find papers on Field-Marshal Viscount Alexander, Evelyn Waugh and others. The second section is enetiled 'Some Older People' and this includes a new interpretation of the life of Robert Burns. With so much to read and learn, this striking book with a red depiction of the British Isles on the dust jacket, is sure to stand out in your reference library
