Reader's note

A wonderful copy of Tender is the Night by F. Scott Fitzzgerald. Fitzgerald’s fourth and final novel shows the tragic rise and fall of Dick Diver, a young and idealistic psychiatrist, and his wife Nicole, who is also his patient. Bleak and haunting, the story is drawn partially from the author’s own experiences. ‘“Think how you love me," she whispered. "I don’t ask you to love me always like this, but I ask you to remember. Somewhere inside me there’ll always be the person I am to-night.”’
