Reader's note

This striking title will look wonderful on any vintage bookshelf. The poems for this selection have been chosen by the author himself and they extend from 1928 - 1966. The following stanza is taken from 'Atlantis' - Being set on the idea, Of getting to Atlantis, You have discovered of course Only the Ship of Fools is, Making the voyage this year, As gales of abnormal force, Are predicted, and that you, Must therefore be ready to, Behave absurdly enough, To pass for one of The Boys, At least appearing to love, Hard liquor, horseplay and noise. - is this poem a parody? Or does it have a deeper meaning? There are many interpretations to this excellent work just waiting to be discovered!
