Reader's note

This astounding history book is more than worthy of a place on your bookshelf, go back to the wild and early days of Scotland as the very first chapter begins - An old family among the " wild Scots of Galloway " bore the surname of Maculach, Mackulagh, or M'Culloch — one of the oldest families,, indeed, in that rude and turbulent province of Scotland — and claimed as progenitor a king of the Britons of Strathclyde. From an early period the Maculachs held lands in Wigtonshire and the Stewartry of Kirkcudbright : and they, like many other Galwegians, supported John Baliol in his competition with Robert Bruce for the Scottish crown. - with such an introduction, it is difficult to stop reading! With beautiully decorative dark blue boards, this title will really stand out in your reference library.
