This is a lovely edition of Poems & Sketches by George Harrison with a foreword by Grenville Cooke. Each page has a poem accompanied by a beautiful black and white illustration by the author. Most of the poems surround the theme of nature and the outdoors and some of the poems include April Evening, Snow, Nature, Remembrance and The Countryside. “In these days when the face of the countryside can be said to be changing daily, with the possibility that in a very short time little of what is old will be left to us, there is a growing demand for anything that reflects the beauty of the countryside as it appears today. This the Author has endeavoured to do, with what success it must be left to the reader to decide.”
