This edition of the invisible man is one of a uniform set of ten volumes of Mr Wells works specially published in commemoration of his eightieth birthday, September 21st 1946. Of each volume one hundred thousand copies have been printed. This science fiction novel is about The Invisible Man of the title is Griffin, a scientist who invents a way to change a body's refractive index to become invisible. He manages to become invisible but fails in his attempt to reverse it. An enthusiast of random and irresponsible violence, Griffin has become an iconic character in horror fiction. The invisible man is a grotesque romance and would be thrilling for ant crime and mystery reader.
