Reader's note

Country House Library is proud to present this stunning book of poetry! Bright ruby red on the cover and spine with gold detailing and textblock to match, this book is beautiful to behold. This re-bound ediition, is filled with so many poems from the likes of John Milton, Samuel Taylor Coleridge, John Keats and Lord Byron, it is difficult to choose just one as your favourite. This particular poem is called 'False though she be' by William Congreve - False though she be to me and love, I’ll ne’er pursue revenge; For still the charmer I approve, Though I deplore her change. In hours of bliss we oft have met: They could not always last; And though the present I regret, I’m grateful for the past. - wonderful words that tell a full story in just a few lines. The book is a jewel that any collector would be proud to own.
