This is a wonderful copy of Dickens’ Oliver Twist. In this classic story by Charles Dickens we follow orphan Oliver Twist as he is put through hardship after hardship. Oliver is sold by the workhouse to become an apprentice to an undertaker after he dares to ask for more food. He then runs away to London where he is recruited by the Artful Dodger and a gang of pickpockets led by the dreadful Fagin. In this social novel, familiar Dickens themes of poverty, societal cruelty and good and evil are grippingly clear and shocking in their description. A lovely vintage edition of the classic Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens.
