Reader's note

Nature lover's will delight in this beautiful 1939 first edition of Mother Nature's Trees by W.J. Stokoe. Almost everywhere in our beautiful country there are trees of many kinds, large and small, growing in the fields, hedgerows and woods - even in the cities and towns, and it is perhaps, because they are so numerous and such a common sight to us, that we almost take them for granted and often pass them by with-out troubling much about them. We can scarcely imagine how strange and empty our countryside would look without the trees, as well as the loss of the very many necessary things they provide for our health and comfort. This book has many wonderful illustrations which make this an intriguing read, A gem among a bounty of out of print, rare and stunning vintage books in our second hand bookstore.
