Reader's note

This is a wonderful copy of Mark Twain’s A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur’s Court. This story is a comedy and satire on Romantic myths and tales of Chivalry. Hank Morgan, an engineer from Connecticut, gets into a quarrel and is struck on the head. He awakes in the sixth century at the court of King Arthur. Finding himself among a gullible and superstitious population, he soon plans to modernise Camelot and improve the lives of the people with industrial inventions, with has disastrous consequences. A thinly veiled critique on both Medieval and contemporary times, Twain’s fun tale is a perfect addition to any library.
