This delightful old book is a joy to behold! Illustrated with full colour plates and line drawings, this is a fantastic reference book for anyone who adores nature! The introduction showcases the author's passion for the subject - Tress are living things; they have their babyhood, their ripe age, and their years of decay. Some grow quickly, others slowly; some are short lived, while othera, again, last through many years. All are beautiful. They afford shade from the hot sunshine, and they protect the cattle in the fields from storms. They purify the air, and help to bring down the gentle showers to the land - an introduction such as this makes this reader want to learn more! Add this title to your reference library, you won't be disappointed.
