Reader's note

Lewis Carroll‘s timeless novel Alice’s Adventure in Wonderland is a well-known and much-loved classic. This novel first published in 1865 by English author Lewis Carroll (the pseudonym of Charles Dodgson). Since then it has never been out of print and has been translated into 97 different languages. A prime example of the ‘literary nonsense’ genre Carroll plays with logic to create a vivid and intricate world. The narrative, structure, characters and imagery have had a massive influence on future fantasy novels and on pop-culture in general. “In another moment down went Alice after it, never once considering how in the world she was to get out again.”
