Reader's note

Beautifully decorative with black detailing and gold writing, this vintage book has an important message - The utterances of those who address us from the border land demand our deepest attention - the quotations contained in this book are a poignant look at human nature in a Christian context. There are examples of dark humour such as this quote from Fontanelle in AD 1757 - I do not suffer my friends; but I feel a certain difficulty breathing - to the words of Doctor Henry in AD 1836 - A sweet falling of the soul on Jesus. He is now very gracious to me. - this book is a fascinating collection and a wonderful addition to any home library.
