Reader's note

This beautiful book is complete with full colour plates and smaller illustrations throughout the text. A truly special edition, this version from Hodder & Stoughton has been abridged so that the younger reader can enjoy this charming story. This extract has Peter thinking about the Gardens themselves - So there was Peter in the very place he had longed for all his life. It was very large, leafy, and lovely, and ever so interesting. Even better than he expected, and that's saying a lot. And yet not quite what he had expected. Things never are. You see, he was now rather friends with the fairies and could wander about in the Gardens, as much as he liked, all night. But at morning, when lock-out time ended, and the gardens were opened, and the children and nurses came pouring in-where was Peter then? - does he have to hide from prying eyes? if so where does he go? follow along in this wonderful vintage book full of delight and surprises.
