A 1936 edition of J.M. Barrie's A Window in Thrums. The story of the "untrue son" - is one of several novels about the fictional village of Thrums, said to be modelled on Barrie's home town of Kirriemuir. A Window in Thrums is told by a schoolteacher about village life in Thrums, from a perspective many years later than the action. The teacher lets a room from a poor family: Hendry McQumpha, a weaver, his wife Jess, and their daughter Leeby. Read on to find out what happens.
