The sequel to the Tritten's beloved Heidi--complete with cute illustrations! Heidi's grandfather sends her to boarding school, where she befriends many of the foreign students. Heidi takes a student named Jamy up to the Alm, where she meets Peter and his goat herd. Heidi, Peter, and Jamy rescue a goat from a dangerous situation then they stay at Reboux's mansion during a storm, and then run to the Alm when they hear that Heidi's grandfather's house is on fire. Heidi and the others find Heidi's grandfather and his goats under the fir trees. The grandfather and some villagers rebuild the house with improvements. This would be a lovely read for any fan of the first Heidi book.
