A decorative 1979 edition of Hills End by Ivan Southall! There was no indication on that sun-drenched morning that the little Australian timber town of Hills End was doomed. Yet while most of its people where on a picnic and seven of its children were searching near-by caves for aboriginal drawings the ski became glazed over with a bronze sheen, a colour reached out of the north like a black arm and closed its hand around the sun and the dark waters of the river flooded over the rock pan between town and hills...
