Reader's note

This is probably one of the best H.G. Wells' works of fiction but is also one of the lesser known of his works. This is the story of a Gentleman of culture and refinement who suffered shipwreck and saw no human being other than Cruel and Savage cannibals for several years. This is a delightful edition of this well loved story and would be a wonderful gift for anyone who loves H.G. Wells adventure stories and as it is an obscure title it may be a new adventure for them to read.
