Reader's note

A wonderful copy of Graham Greene’s A Sense of Reality. This book is a collection of a novella and three short stories, and sees Greene step outside his usual themes and writing style to cover a range of topics and genres including fantasy, myth and dreams. The novella Under the Garden follows William Wilditch who is diagnosed with lung cancer. Believing that he to die soon he visits his brother, George. They reminisce on old times and remember a story William once wrote that upset their mother, however the two have different memories of what happened. Upon finding a copy of the story in question, William finds the truth to be different from what he remembers and begins to question what events were real and what were dreams. This book collects the stories: Under the Garden; A Visit to Morin; Dreams of a Strange Land; A Discovery in the Woods.
