Reader's note

This stylish edition of the Ernest Hemingway classic will add that touch of class to your vintage library or even any living space. Written in the way that only Hemingway can engage the reader, the very first chapter tells of some men who go on a duck hunt during the night - But the shooter did not know it and he thought, I do not understand him but I must not let him ruin it. I must keep it entire and not let him do it. Every time you shoot now can be the last shoot and no stupid son of a bitch should be allowed to ruin it. Keep your temper, boy, he told himself. But he was not a boy. He was fifty and a Colonel of Infantry in the Army of the United States - even the most professional of people can still be riled up on the odd occasion! Follow his story and keep the pages turning.
