Reader's note

A bold and blue vintage edition of A Farewell to Arms by Ernest Hemingway. Frederic Henry is an American serving in the Italian Ambulance Corps during the First World War, who falls for English nurse Catherine Barkley. Hemingway’s first popular novels contrasts the horrors of war with the struggles of lovers who find themselves stuck within. “I’m not brave any more darling. I’m all broken. They’ve broken me.” This is a First Edition in the Everyman's Library - one among a bounty of stunning classic literature vintage books and obscure gems on our second hand bookstore!
