Reader's note

This excellent title will add a touch of class to your bookshelf! All of the stories in this book were written before the first world war, and it was published in two volumes. Although the tales contained within this tome are fantasies and more lighthearted than some of E. M. Forster's major novels such as 'A Passage to India and 'Howard's End', behind their amusing comedy are glimpses of profound themes. Many of the stories express a distinctive belief in the forces of nature and express what a true appreciation of literature really means. This masterpiece of irony are full of a trust in human values which is almost unknown today. A worthy addition to any home library!
