Reader's note

This book is an excellent source of information and is a wonderful gift for the gardening guru that you know! Many readers have enjoyed the simple and practical articles written by Lawrence D Hills on vegetables, fruit and fertility. These article have all been expanded upon and have been made into a book which will be an invaluable tool for those who want to grow as much food as possible even from the smallest of gardens, with the least trouble and the fewest chemicals. It deals first with taking over new gardens, from a field or from worn-out town soils, telling how to build their fertility and goes on to describe how space may be saved in any garden in winter by cropping without frames or cloches. Your reference library will not be complete without it!
