A brilliant 1969 edition of The House On The Strand in a coastal pictorial dust-jacket. Dick Young is lent a house in Cornwall by his friend Professor Magnus Lane. He agrees to serve as a guinea pig for a new drug that Magnus has discovered. The effect of this drug transports him to the 14th century, in the same Cornish countryside. There he witnesses intrigue, adultery and murder. The more time Dick spends consumed in the past, the more he resents the days he must spend in the modern world. With each dose of the drug, his body and mind become addicted to this otherworld, so much so that he ignores the responsibilities of his present life and places his marriage, livelihood and life in jeopardy.
