Reader's note

Cue for Treason tells of the day when two strange men rode up to the Keswick School. This would be the last day that Peter Brownrigg was ever to spend as a Cumberland schoolboy for evil Sir Philip, suspecting his part in pulling down the wall set up to enclose what was rightfully common land, was furiously on his trail. A clothes chest used by a travelling theatre group supplied, for the moment, an escape. But Peter was not the only fugitive to shelter with the players. There was also a mysterious and gifted lad who gave his name as Kit but would tell no more. Reaching London at last, the two had the luck to be taken on as apprentices by William Shakespeare himself. But what were the curious writings on the stolen copy of Henry V? This excellent book has a deep mystery that will keep readers of all ages hooked until the last page.
