Reader's note

Add a pop of orange to your bookshelf with this Penguin 1965 edition of Charlotte Brontë's Jane Eyre. For over a hundred years Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights have been amongst the most widely-read of British novels. The two Brontë sisters, Charlotte, and Emily, wrote them under pseudonyms and had them published in the same year, 1847. But except that they are both love-stories and that they are both infused with the strange, rarefied atmosphere fop their authors' home surroundings, the two have little in common. This is a classic to add to your reading list!
