Reader's note

Time to re-visit the Charles Dickens classic but not as you know it with this wonderful edition of Oliver Twist. Distinctive with an illustration that carries over from the front cover the the spine, you will never be able to misplace a book that is so unique. Oliver Twist is a harrowing story of life and poverty in Victorian era London. In chapter 14, things start to look brighter for the main character - They were happy days, those of Oliver’s recovery. Everything was so quiet, and neat, and orderly; everybody so kind and gentle; that after the noise and turbulence in the midst of which he had always lived, it seemed like Heaven itself. He was no sooner strong enough to put his clothes on, properly, than Mr. Brownlow caused a complete new suit, and a new cap, and a new pair of shoes, to be provided for him. - it is to be hoped that his good fortune continues. If you haven't read this book yet, now is the time to add it to your vintage home library.
