Reader's note

It may be pocket sized, but the beautiful pink colour of this book means that it will never be lost or forgotten about! The two cities in question are Paris and London and the period is that of the French Revolution, and the story is one of the most absorbing and dramatic that Charles Dickens ever wrote. Sydney Carton and Charles Darnay, Lucy, Dr. Manette, Jerry Crunchert, and Madame Defarge are unforgettable characters, and so are the scene such as the taking of the Bastille, the escape from prison, and the end at the guillotine. A Tale of Two Cities is a classic novel that is as excellent to read today as it has ever been. A brilliant addition to any home library!
