Reader's note

This wonderful history book is an antique gem that can take pride of place in any home it finds! It tells the reader all about the life and times of Queen Victoria in Britain. There is one chapter entitled 'Coronation Day' and we learn about Lord Rolle - a feeble man, he stumbled as he ascended the steps, and rolled to the bottom. A ludicrous misconception arose from this incident. A distinguished member of the foreign gentry reported to his own countrymen, that the Lord Rolle held his title on the condition of performing the feat of rolling down the steps at every coronation!' - it seems as though Queen Victoria's coronation was really quite a curious affair! Add this to your collection today.
