Reader's note

This stunning edition of Breaking The Record by M. Douglas details The Story of Three Arctic Expeditions. Published in 1902, this decorative vintage book would be a fantastic addition to any bookshelf with its beautiful design. An exciting account of expeditions in a fictional story and paired with wonderful illustrations! The author notes: 'It may seem presumptuous for an untravelled author to attempt to tell the story of the heroes who have bearded King Frost in his own peculiar realm; but should this most chronicle of the adventures and sufferings of those kings of mighty men, who have successfully broken all previous records in Polar enterprise, tempt the reader to turn for fuller information, to those true 'human documents...my presumption may perhaps be forgiven.'
