A brilliant 1977 edition of Arthur Conan Doyle's The Return of Sherlock Holmes! This is the famous volume in which Sherlock Holmes reappears after his presumed death with his adversary Moriarty at the Reichenbach Fall. It was only after much persuasion that Conan Doylew agreed to bring back Holmes - the result was sensational. On publication an eye-witness wrote: 'The scenes at the railway bookstall were worse than anything I ever saw at a bargain-sale.' Holmes was back at 221B Baker Street and a new era was inaugurated.
