Reader's note

Add a pop of orange to your shelf with this 1963 edition of A Case of Conscience by James Blish. The year is 2049; the place Lithia, second planet of the solar-type star Alpha Arietis, in the constellation Aries. A commission of four scientists from Earth, studying Lithia for the United Nations, has discovered a remarkable new world. The Lithians have fast jet aircraft, yet no telephones; magnets are unknown, but they are able to use static electricity in ways not thought of on earth. The flora and fauna - more fascinating still- make Lithia a biologist's paradise, with humming forests, great lakes, barking lungfish, wild allosaurus, and flying squid.
