Reader's note

This book has been written to meet the requirements of students and to help the home dressmaker. To bring the ‘professional touch’ into home dressmaking the author collected here the results of her experience as a dressmaker, and great pains have been taken to emphasize the steps essential to success in every description of method and, as it were, to lay a finger on the exact spot where special care must be taken. This vintage craft book could be very educational for anyone interested in dressmaking. The illustrations show the reader how to approach the more difficult stitches and are wonderfully helpful. This unique book would be perfect for any crafty person!
