This lovely collection of three vintage puffins all feature around talking animals! Carboel is a delightful story, illustrated by V H Drummond, tells of a Royal Cat who makes it clear to Rosemary and John that they must find the missing steeple hat and cauldron before they can do a magic spell. And that’s just where the trouble, and the fun, begins! Mrs Fisby and the Rats of Nimh tells the tale of a widowed field mouse, Mrs. Frisby, who seeks the aid of a group of former laboratory rats in rescuing her home from destruction by a farmer's plow, saving her son from pneumonia, and of the history of the rats' escape from the laboratory and development of a literate and technological society. Tarka the Otter follows the life of a young otter named Tarka, who lives in the rural countryside of Devonshire in England. As a cub, Tarka learns how to swim, catch fish and clean himself. However, when the den his mother and siblings live in is attacked by hunters, Tarka and his family must move on in order to escape harm.
