Reader's note

'That Hideous Strength' is the thrilling conclusion to the series known as 'The Space Trilogy'. The characters in this novel are unaware of the mythos of the fantastic world created by CS Lewis and they are introduced to everything along with us - the readers! The main characters are still relatable to this day - "Mutual society, help, and comfort," said Jane bitterly. In reality marriage had proved to be the door out of a world of work and comradeship and laughter and innumerable things to do, into something like solitary confinement. - this book is a marvellous addition to any bookshelf!
