Reader's note

Add a pop of blue to the room with these deocrative 1930s editions of Aldous Huxley’s Music At Night and Antic Hay. Aldous Huxley is well known as a novelist, short story writer, philosopher, biographer, poet and dramatist. But he is also an original and accomplished essayist, as this volume will reveal. The themes on which he mediates in this selection cover a wide range of the values and problems which exercise the mines of thinking people today. Many of his topics are concerned with the moral dilemmas which confront our society, some with the current varieties of cant and mental confusion. Another set of themes is concerned with literature and the arts, with reflections upon Homer’s conception of Tragedy, or the fevered imagination of El Greco.
