Reader's note

A wonderful copy of Oscar Wilde’s stories. This book is a collection of Oscar Wilde’s fiction and includes his famous, infamous upon release, novel The Picture of Dorian Gray. Dorian Gray is the subject of a portrait by his friend Basil Hallward, but when he looks upon it, he becomes upset that it will always stay how it is as he will age and his beauty fade. He wishes that it were the other way around, and without him initially realising it, the wish is granted. Dorian then lives his life seeking beauty and sensual fulfilment at the suggestion of Lord Henry Wotton, and while he stays young and beautiful, the portrait ages and grows uglier with each sin. Also included are his shorter fictions, which range from ghost stories to fairy tales to comedies.
