Reader's note

This beautiful green book will look wonderful in any themed games room! It also strives to be very positive right from the first introductory page - It is a peculiar merit of lawn tennis that it can be enjoyed when badly played. The ambitious player who strikes a 'bad patch' may not subscribe to a view which, in its wider application, is amply justified. Otherwise the game would not have attained its present popularity in every quarter of the globe. Were is possible to take a census of the lawn tennis players of the world, the figures would probably astonish the devotees of other sports and games by showing a vast preponderance! - Add this great book to your vintage sporting collection today!
