This fascinating vintage textbook is a look at the history of England from the year 55 BC to the date of publication. The text takes the student from the Ancient Britons, through the Roman and Danish conquests, to William I and then each monarch after that. Accompanying this are detailed illustrations, portraits, plates and maps. The appendix contains the genealogical tables of the royal lines and also a glossary for some of the words that younger students may have not come across yet.
